The Head of School’s Message
Miriam Dressler
I am honored to introduce myself as the Head of School at The Bloom Academy. With over 40 years of experience in education, my passion for fostering each learner’s success continues to grow stronger with every passing year. The excitement I feel about helping children reach their fullest potential has never diminished.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education and a Master’s in Research and Curriculum Development, which have both shaped my approach to teaching and leadership. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles— from classroom teacher to school administrator to teacher educator. I am also a published author with Redleaf Press, which has allowed me to contribute to the broader conversation about best practices in education.
As co-owner of Bloom Early Education, an award-winning preschool in Edmonds, WA, I am proud to say that it was here that the vision for The Bloom Academy was born. Our preschool families were eager to continue their educational journey with us, which led to the opening of this school in 2015. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, we expanded to offer grades 1 through 8, allowing us to serve even more families and learners.
At The Bloom Academy, my role is twofold: I serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors and provide guidance for curriculum development and the overall educational experience. I am deeply committed to ensuring that each student’s learning journey is supported and enriched in every way possible.
I am truly thrilled that you have chosen to entrust your child’s education with us. We are dedicated to their success and are excited to partner with you in creating a strong, supportive community where every learner can thrive.

Founded by Miriam Dressler (co-owner of Bloom Early Education) Nicole Mosteller and Lisa Gregor, both teachers and innovative educators in the BEE Primary program, the journey to open our amazing new Academy begins!
